Sule wins 'Best Animation' in Montreal
Sule's an Official Selection of the 28th Annual Chicago International Children's Film Festival
The Gibbs Sisters are currently in pre-production on a graphic novel for the YA audience.
Sule and the Case of the Tiny Sparks is an Official Selection of the following festivals:
Sule will screen this May at the Seattle International Film Festival, in June at the Brooklyn Kids Film Fest and in September at both the Bumbershoot Arts & Music Festival and the Montreal International Black Film Festival!
The Gibbs Sisters announed as 2011 USC Guy Hanks and Marvin Miller Screenwriting Fellows
Shawnee' and Shawnelle's feature-length screenplay "A Star is Reborn" won the writing team a place in the prestigious Guy Hanks and Marvin Miller Screenwriting (Cosby) Program, a writing fellowship at the USC School of Cinematic Arts.
'Sule' screens as part of American Cinematheque's 6th Annual Focus on Female Directors
The 6th Annual Focus on Female Directors Showcase at Hollywood's historic Egyptian Theatre features work by Kirsten Dunst, Amy Ephron, cinema pioneer Cleo Madison and the Gibbs Sisters' short, "Sule and The Case of the Tiny Sparks."
